Introduction : The place where we live is called a dwelling place. The place where we rest is called a resting place. The place where we live together is called a social area. South Koreans live within the boundaries of the peninsula of South Korea and the islands that belong to it. We live within the boundaries of a country governed by democracy, a marketing economy, human rights, and constitutionalism. However, North Koreans live within other boundaries. They live in a country ruled by communism, a nationally controlled economy, a despotic party, and have a dictator. Since South Koreans and North Koreans have a totally different system and boundaries, they do not have anything in common with each other, even though they seem to be alike and use the same language. That is why they cannot be called the same nation. It is the same with unbelievers and believers-they live within different boundaries.
1. The boundary of human beings, the offspring of fallen Adam 1) The boundary abandoned by God (Ge 3:17-19) (1) People lost God´s presence (2) The land was cursed (3) Sickness and death (Ro 5:12, Pr 14:13) 2) The boundary ruled by the devil (1 Jn 5:19) (1) Gentile gods, idolatry, atheism, and humanism (Jer 25:6, Ro 1:25, Ps14:1, Isa 13:11) (2) Mentally (Ro 1:28-31) (3) Morally (Gal 5:19-21) (4) They will surely go to hell (1Co 6:9-10, Rev 22:15, Mk 9:47-49)
2. The boundary of freedom and liberty (Col 1:13-14) 1) To give freedom from sin (2Co 5:21) 2) To set us free from the devil (Gal 5:1; Col 2:14-15) 3) Death, the greatest weapon of the devil, has been defeated (Rev 1:17-18)
3. The boundaries of freedom and liberty in Christ 1) The boundary of forgiveness and righteousness (Ro 8:1-2, Jn 8:32, 36) 2) The boundary of godliness and holiness (1Co 6:11, Gal 2:20) 3) The boundary of healing and health (Ac10:38, Mt 8:17, 1Pe 2:24) 4) The boundary of the blessings of Abraham and prosperity (Gal 3:9, 2Co 9:8) 5) The boundary of resurrection, eternal life, and heaven (Lk 17:21, Ro 14:17, 1Th 4:16-17, Rev 22:5) - Our heart, the community of the church, is the boundary of freedom and liberty, over which Jesus Christ reigns
Conclusion : Even though we seem to live in the same world, there are two different boundaries: one is ruled by sin and the devil, and the other is controlled by freedom and liberty in Jesus. Realizing that we are living within the boundaries of freedom and liberty in Jesus, we must visualize, dream, believe, pray, and strongly proclaim and confess our freedom and liberty in Him.
