The Recovery of the Lost Eden
Genesis 2:15 ~ 2:17

2019-12-02

God was extremely joyful after He created the heavens and the earth. He was joyful after creating light. He was joyful after creating the sky, the ground, seas and various living creatures. He was joyful after creating Adam and Eve. When God looked at all things that were created by Him, they looked good. God created the Garden of Eden in the east and made Adam and Eve to stay there. Eden was a place filled with joy just like its name. However, an event took place that broke joy.

1. An event that made God sad
1) God commanded Adam, "You are free to eat from any tree in the garden; but you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat of it you will surely die."
2) Because Adam and Eve rebelled against the command of God and ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, all people born as the descendants of Adam face death.
3) Sin is to not invite God as the owner and live by becoming an owner yourself. If you leave God, you will lose the Eden of joy and live a life filled with thorns and thistles.

2. The way of salvation God prepared
1) God who is full of mercy and compassion prepared the way of salvation for humanity. The way is Jesus. Jesus' death on the cross and resurrection are amazing plans of God to destroy death of humanity and to restore life.
2) The way of salvation given by God is only Jesus. Jesus is the only way of life.

3. The fivefold gospel is the recovery of Eden
1) Jesus gave us the grace of the fivefold gospel and threefold blessing through the cross.
2) The fivefold gospel given by Jesus restored Eden that was lost by Adam.
3) Because Jesus took away our sins through the cross, we were able to restore righteousness, holiness, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, health, healing, abundance and eternal life that were enjoyed in Eden.

Conclusion
God is a good God. If we do not know about our good God, we cannot gain joy anywhere. Through death on the cross and resurrection, Jesus gave life to those who believe in Him and restored their life as Eden filled with joy and happiness. Now, we are able to live by enjoying the fivefold gospel and threefold blessing through our thoughts, dreams, faith and spoken words.
