Pastor Cho's Sermon Outline - Yoido Full Gospel Church - Seoul, Korea
Like an Eagle¡¯s Young
Deuteronomy 32:11 ~ 32:12

2010-01-31

Introduction<>/b>
There are several places in the Bible where believers are compared to eagles.

1. Eagles fly alone in the sky unlike a flock of sparrows. Believers are not grouped together with people in the world. Their hearts are set alone for Christ.

2. When eagles reach the age of 60+ they go through a process of restoring their health.

1. An eagle's nurturing of its young
a. An eagle builds a nest of thorns, covers the inner nest with animal hides, makes it soft with feathers, and turns it into a room of an exclusive hotel
b. In this ¡®exclusive hotel' an eagle lays its eggs and nurtures its young.
2) Training to fly
a. An eagle gives its young a ride on its wings (leaving the nest of thorns)
- God gives grace to people
b. An eagle lets go of its young in the sky (Israel's test in the desert)
- Standing on one's own faith, not on that of others
c. Hunting together
- Co-laboring with others
3) The way to overcome a storm
a. Flying in the air relying on wind streams
b. Rising through the storm over the top of the clouds
- The storm of troubles
- The storm of the final judgment
c. The young leave when the training is done

Conclusion
God's people do not live like a flock of sparrows squeaking in groups. No matter how many people we live with, we have our own heavens to fly alone, which is to keep our godly solitary lives. An eagle does not flap its wings to fly. It always leaves itself to the rising current of the wind.

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
