Introduction : God said, "My righteous one will live by faith." What are the characteristics of a person of faith? People who live in this world have national and cultural characteristics in accordance with their country and region. A person of faith has positive characteristics.
1. A person living by the Word of God 1) The Israelites lived on bread in Egypt. However, after they crossed over the Red Sea and entered the desert, they had no way to get bread. They lived only by the Word of God. (Ex 16:4) 2) Jesus said, "Man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of God." (Jn 1:1, Ac 10:36) 3) Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. (Jn 2:5, Mt 8:8)
2. A person living with a dream - As a hen broods over an egg, hoping for a chick, so a person lives with a dream. 1) Israel got out of Egypt, dreaming about the land flowing with milk and honey. (Lev 20:24) 2) People who have no dream will perish - ten spies and the Israelites lost a dream, so they died in the desert. Joshua and Caleb who continued to have a dream entered Canaan with their descendants. (Nu 14:36-38) 3) Have a dream under the Cross - that the Fivefold Gospel and the Threefold Blessing will be accomplished (1Co 1:18,30) 4) The Holy Spirit works through a dream and a vision (1Co 2:9-10, Eph 3:20)
3. An adventurous person - In other words, a person who throws himself off the cliff with faith 1) The faith and adventure of David (1) He pounced on a lion and a bear with faith (1Sa 17:34-35) (2) He fought with Goliath with faith (1Sa 17:36,45) 2) The faith and adventure of Peter (1) He had a senseless adventure when he threw a net into a deep place in the sea after the sun rose (Lk 5:4-6) (2) He walked on the sea of waves at night (Mt 14:28-29) (3) He healed a crippled beggar at the temple gate called beautiful at the ninth hour after Pentecost
4. A person with a different language 1) Faith does not believe in circumstances, senses, or emotion, but in God (Mk11:22-23) 2) The language of a person of faith in God - beyond circumstances, senses, and emotion. That is, he/she speaks things that are not as though they were. (1) Abram ¡æ Abraham, Sarai ¡æ Sarah (Ge17:5, 15-16) (2) "If you can?" said Jesus. "Everything is possible for him who believes." (Mk 11:24, Heb 10:35)
Conclusion : Since a person of faith walks with God, he/she should resemble the character of God. Therefore, he/she should naturally think, dream, believe, speak, and live like God.
