Pastor Cho's Sermon Outline - Yoido Full Gospel Church - Seoul, Korea
Predestination and Preparation
1 Corinthians 2:9

2005-12-18

Introduction : The parents who have planned the education and future of their children prepare something to accomplish them in advance. God is the Alpha and the Omega. Since He already knows the beginning and the end, He predestines everything and provides previously to fulfill His predestined will.

1. God prepares everything necessary for His predestination
    1) God´s predestination for Joseph´s life
        - He revealed it in Joseph´s dream, that is, the prime minister of Egypt (Ge 37:7, 9)
    2) God provides the process to fulfill His predestination
        - Joseph´s brothers´ betrayal, Midianite merchents, Potiphar´s servant, his wife´s
false charge, the prison of the guard, and so on.

2. God will carry out what He has predestined (Isa 44:6, 45:4)
    1) Canaan, the goal of the Israelites, was the land that God had predestined.
        (Ex 6:8, 3:17)
    2) When God´s predestination was challenged
        (1) When the Israelites faced despair at the Red Sea (Ex 14:4)
        (2) The hand of God Almighty removed the obstacle that blocked His predestination.
             (Ex 23:20-22)
        (3) Bitter water in Mara, food, meat.(Ex 15:25, ½Ã 78:15, 24, 27)

3. We can have bold faith when we know the predestination of God
    1) Moses´ strong faith at the Red Sea (Ex 14:10-14)
    2) The reason that Joshua could be courageous
        - God let him know His predestination (Jos 1:1-9)

4. God´s predestination for us
    1) Salvation is God´s predestination (Eph 1:3-6)
        - That´s why He has prepared our ways until we enter the kingdom of heaven.
He has prepared for us to overcome all trials. (2Th 2:13)
    2) Our lives are predestined (Ps 139:16, Ps 139:16, Pr 16:3-4)
    3) If we know God´s predestination, we can believe with courage.
        - God has prepared a countermeasure for every trouble.
            (Ps 68:19, Jn 16:33, Ro 8:31-35, 37)

Conclusion : If we understand God´s predestination, accept it in our hearts, and advance with strong faith, He will take care of us.

Dear friend, do not imitate what is evil but what is good. Anyone who does what is good is from God. Anyone who does what is evil has not seen God.
