Introduction : I read a story about the father of a disabled person. Even though this disabled person was already an adult, he was still like a little child, and he could not support himself because he could not freely move around. His old father helped him with defecation, urination, and bathing, chewed food for him, and fed him. His father thought about taking his own life once in a while, because he had a difficult time to live and to take care of a disabled child. However, he said that his son´s innocent smile and twisted body has always kept him from committing suicide. A journalist asked him, "How do you cope with all these difficulties in your life?" and he answered, "This is my destiny. My son was born to be loved, and my destiny is to love my son, so I cannot blame other people." I was filled with emotion, reading this article. It is the same thing for humankind. God exists to love us, and we were born to be loved by Father God. All the unhappiness of people today was caused by refusing the love of God and trying to live in their own strength by standing in the midst of selfishness.
1. The love of God - A characteristic of love is giving 1) Created heaven and earth, prepared the Garden of Eden and gave to Adam (Ge 2:8) 2) Gave His one and only son to save corrupted humankind (2Co 5:21, 1Jn 4:10) 3) God prepared everything in our lives (1Co 2:9, Ps 34:9) 4) God prepared heaven for us (Jn 14:1-3, Rev 21:2) - Open wide your mouth and I will fill it
2. The grace of Jesus - Grace means giving us the blessing as a present 1) He came as humankind to take off the bridle of corruption Carried the iniquities for corrupted humankind, cleansed human sin by His own death, and gave salvation as a gift (Eph 2:8) 2) The new creation that is given in the Lord (1) The Fivefold gospel (Ps 103: 3-5) (2) The Threefold blessing (3Jn 1:2) (3) The fourfold position of human beings (1 Pe 2:9) - Open wide your mouth and I will fill it (Ro 8:32, Mt 7:11)
3. The fellowship of the Holy Spirit 1) Making us to be born again (Jn 3:5, Tit 3:5) 2) Helping - To understand the truth, lead us, strengthen us, and change us (Jn 16:13, 1Co 2:12, Ac 1:8, Eph 4:24)
4. The fate of human beings 1) Humankind cannot live by their own independence (Jer 2:13) 2) An existing form of humankind (1) A temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Co 6:19-20) (2) A potter that serves God (2Co 4:7, 2Ti 2:21) (3) Branches that are attached to the vine (Jn 15:5) 3) Open wide your mouth and I will fill it (1) Change your thoughts (Mt 6:33, Ro 12:2) (2) Visualize God who will fill you (Ge 13:4, 15:5, Heb11:1) (3) Open wide your mouth of faith (Mt 21:22, Mk 11:24, Php 4:13) (4) Ask God to fill you (Jer 33:3, Eph 3:20) (5) Give thanks to God (Ps 22:3, 50:23, Heb 13:15)
Conclusion : The destiny of disabled people is to receive love, grace, and help, and the destiny of a father is to give love, grace, and help. Just like this, the destiny of humankind is to live by receiving love, grace, and the help of God, and God will give us His love, grace, and help.
