Introduction : The happiness of the individual begins with peace in the heart. No matter what the reason may be, happiness will be gone when the heart is filled with fear, despair and anxiety. It is the same thing for a family. According to an old saying, nothing is impossible for a happy family. Even a nation and society cannot be developed without peace. The world created by God was originally a world of peace because God is the King of Peace. But peace disappeared on earth when humankind fell and turned against God. Sin breaks the harmony and public order as well as bringing confusion, disharmony, disruption, and quarreling. Jesus came to bring peace. Through His sacrifice on the Cross, He brought reconciliation and peace between God and man as well as between man and man.
1. Jesus, the King of Peace. 1) Repent of your sin and be reconciled with God (2 Co 5:18,19). 2) The devil is a ringleader who brings disruption. We must cast out demons (Lk 11:17; Jas 4:7,8; Ro 16:20). 3) Accept Jesus as the master of your life. - Humankind cannot be a master with Jesus (2 Ti 3:2; Mt 6:24; Gal 2:20).
2. Do not be anxious about anything. 1) First, commit your life to Jesus (Mt 11:28,29). - Do not try to control your life by yourself, but commit it to Jesus (Ps 37:5; 1 Pe 5:7). 2) Anxiety, like the wind and waves of Galilee. - Wake up Jesus, and let Him do it (Mk 4:38-41). 3) Desperate prayer is sincere prayer. - The prayer of a widow (Lk 18). - Pray until you receive peace in your heart (Lk 8:1,7).
3. The peace of God. 1) Peace on the Sea of Galilee is not a natural thing but a miracle of God. 2) The peace of God is miraculous peace. (1) This peace is not achieved by hard training (Php 4:6,7; Col 3:15). (2) Not a change of environment but a change of heart (Php 4:11-13; Eph 3:16,17). (3) Every anxiety and fear of the heart will disappear in a moment. - The work of Jesus' staff and rod (Jn 14:6; 16:33; Ro 8:28).
4. When we have the peace of God. 1) Do not be afraid of the rainstorm - David stood before Goliath (1 Sa 17:46,47). 2) Be strong and bold - the faith of Daniel (Da 6:10, 22). 3) Have strong faith - Abraham gave Isaac as a sacrificial offering (Ge 22:9-12; Heb 11:18,19). 4) Do not be afraid of death - the boldness of the apostle Paul (Php 1:20,21;Ro 8:37-39; 14:7,8).
Conclusion : Peace in our hearts is just like a diamond. This peace can be achieved only in the Lord (Jn 14:27).
