Without the Shedding of Blood There Is No Forgiveness
Hebrews 9:22 ~ 9:26

2020-07-12

The shedding of blood and sin are inextricably linked. The Bible says that the wages of sin is death and that without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness. The shedding of blood is required to receive forgiveness of sin. All people must receive forgiveness of sin through the precious blood of Jesus so that they can go before God.

1. The blood spilt in Eden
1) Before Adam rebelled against the word of God and committed sin, there was no death in the Garden of Eden. Due to Adam's committing of sin, God caught an animal and shed its blood to cover his shame. He made garments of skin and clothed him.

2) God caught an animal, made garments of skin and clothed Adam to show that solving the problem of sin requires the shedding of blood. Because the wages of sin is death, human beings can never receive forgiveness of sin with their deeds or efforts.

2. The sacrifice institution of the Old Testament
1) In the Old Testament, various sacrifices such as sin offering, guilt offering and fellowship offering are recorded. God has granted grace for His people to come before Him through sacrifice.

2) With the sacrifice that involves catching animals and shedding blood, the problem of sin of man can't be solve completely. The Bible says, "But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins, because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins." (Heb. 10:3-4)

3. The precious blood of Jesus
1) We can receive righteousness with faith by relying on the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

2) We can receive healing of diseases of our bodies and hearts by relying on the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

3) We can go before the throne of God by relying on the precious blood of Jesus Christ.

Conclusion
If we rely on the power of the precious blood of Jesus, we can live a victorious life every day. Jesus delivered us from sin with the precious blood shed on the cross. In addition, with the power of the precious blood, He gives us a life of holiness and the fullness of the Holy Spirit, heals diseases, breaks curses in our lifeand gives us eternal life and heaven. Therefore, we must always rely on the precious blood of Jesus.
