A Life Benefiting from God’s Promise
Hebrews 11:1 ~ 11:2

2020-07-05

In the Bible, there are many promises that God has given us. There are the promises of forgiveness of sins, holiness, the fullness of the Holy Spirit, healing, a prosperous life, resurrection and eternal life. Faith is required in order for us to enjoy the things that God has promised in our life. What do we need to do to have this kind of faith?

1. Change your thoughts
1) To have faith, we must look to the cross of Jesus and change our thoughts. Our thoughts must change by relying on the redemptive grace of Jesus so that the foundation of faith is established.
2) By standing on the foundation of this kind of faith, we must read the word of God and listen to it and always mediate on it. When we go close to the word of God who is faithful, our thoughts change, and faith comes.

2. Have dreams and pray
1) If our thoughts change by loving the word of God and being close to it, dreams come in our hearts.
2) And if we earnestly pray by drawing how our dreams have come to pass in our hearts, faith comes.

3. Move forward with faith
1) If we pray by having dreams, faith comes in our hearts by the work of the Holy Spirit. Faith that fulfills God's promises doesn't come by man's will, but is given by the Holy Spirit.
2) If the Holy Spirit works, peace comes in our hearts, and we get to believe the things that are not as though they were.

4. Acknowledge it with words on lips
1) By confessing faith with the words of our mouths, we can defeat doubt and disappointment and keep faith.
2) We must make sure that thanksgiving and praise towards God don't stop at every moment from our mouths.

5. Forgive and love
1) If we have hatred and resentment in our hearts, fellowship between God and us breaks.
2) When we forgive and love our enemies, God's promises are fulfilled in our life.
