Ask Whatever You Wish
John 15:7

2018-01-28

Jesus said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you." (Matt. 7:7) We can go before God and pray because of our relationship with Him. Because God is our Father and we are His loving children, we can ask for everything that we need.

1. If you remain in me
1) By believing in Jesus and obeying His word, we remain in Jesus. (John 6:56)
2) Jesus gives the grace of the fivefold gospel to those who remain in Him. (Rom. 8:32)

2. If my words remain in you
1) The Israelites were going through pain because of the bitter water in the desert of Shur. When a branch that God pointed out was thrown into the water, the bitter water turned sweet. (Ex. 15:22~25)
2) Jesus said, "Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the desert, so the Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life." (John 3:14~15)

3. Ask whatever you wish, and it will be given to you
1) If we remain in the Lord and fervently ask, our dreams and hopes come to pass. (John 15:7)
2) Apply ¡®the law of looking' when praying. When we pray by looking at things as if they are already answered by God, we experience amazing works of God. (Ps. 37:4)

Conclusion
Because we remain in Jesus, we can go before our God the Father and ask for anything. Therefore, we should not be discouraged and fall in despair as long as we can pray. If we move forward with faith by having dreams and hopes no matter what kind of situations we face, our Father God takes care of and protects us who are His children. Furthermore, we should share the grace that we received from God through prayer with poor people. This pleases God and reveals the glory of God.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
