A War in the Heavenly Realms
Ephesians 6:10 ~ 6:18

Ever since the history of man has begun to be recorded, there is probably not a single year where there was no war on the land. People live while constantly fighting. Although it may seem like we are currently living in a peaceful age with no war, in reality that is not the case. That is because we are all taking part in a spiritual war which we cannot observe with our eyes. If we look spiritually, there is a battle between the devil and his forces and God's angels, and there is also a battle between us and the evil spirits that fight against us.


1. The evil spirits against God
1) Satan is a creature that challenged God in order to become his equal. (Isaiah 14:12~15)
2) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 6:12)
3) There are enemies that fight against us behind reality. (1 Peter 5:8)


2. How to fight against?
1) We must stand firm on the truth and not fall for lies. (Genesis 3:4~5)
2) When it comes to the devil's attacks, we must stay patient and pray. (Daniel 10:12~14)
3) We must battle our enemies and ask for the help of the Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 6:13~18)


3. Things that the enemies act
1) The enemy has come to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10)
2) Jesus came that we may have life, and have it to the full.


4. Hidden activities of disease and evil spirit
1) The devil is behind diseases. (Luke 11:14, Acts 8:7)
2) Healing has already been included within the grace of Jesus' atonement. (Isaiah 53:4~5)
3) Two-thirds of Jesus' public ministry in the earth was healing the sick. (Matthew 9:35)


The devil always counteracts against and fights the work of God, and by making our hearts and bodies sick, he robs our lives. We must not let the devil do so. We must battle and cast out the devil in Jesus' name. Because Jesus finished everything and disarmed the forces of the devil on the cross, if we trust in Jesus we will gain victory.
