Pastor Cho's Sermon Outline - Yoido Full Gospel Church - Seoul, Korea
One will reap as he sow
2 Corinthians 9:6 ~ 9:10

2014-06-08

There's a saying like, "You will reap as you sow" and "Those who sow in a small amount will reap small while those who sow in a large amount will reap large." A spiritual world works in the same way. If you sow with love, you will reap with love. If you sow with hatred, you will reap with hatred. Therefore, one ought to do his best to sow as great a seed as possible. If a seed of faith, hope, love, righteousness, peace, and joy is sown, a family or a society where such a seed is sown will be a place of happiness.

1. If one reaps with kindness and love
- If one shows unconditional kindness and love, he will be rewarded after all, though not immediately, as if an angel flaps its wings.
- If you throw one of the two ends of a boomerang, it circles around in the air and come back to the one who threw it.

2. Abraham and Melchizedek
1) Abraham's war in Canaan and outright victory. King Chedorlaomel and the unites army * (Genesis 14:17-20)
2) Melchizedek, the king of Salem, who came to greet the victor and a blessing
- A symbolic figure of Jesus Christ
3) The origin of tithe - As Abraham gave one tenths of his booty to Melchizedek after receiving blessings from him, it became the origin of tithe (Mal 3:10)

3. A blessing brought by tithing
1) The law of reaping as one sow

If one is devoted to God in love, God blesses him by giving blessings by thirty, sixty, and one hundred times. Matthew Chapter 6, verse 33 says, "Seek His kingdom first and everything else will be given to you."

For everything in the world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world.
