God Who Rescues Us and Fills Our Needs
Philippians 2:13

2017-09-03

As we live our lives in this world, we encounter various hardships. Sometimes, we are hard pressed on every side that we cannot move. But, we should not be discouraged or fall in despair. We must believe that God who is with us will rescue us from puddles and pits.

1. God who rescues us
1) God said, "Because he loves me, I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name." If we hold on to God's love for us and His promised word, we can be more than conquerors when it comes to sufferings and hardships. (Ps. 91:14)
2) God rescued Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego from the furnace and Daniel from the lions' den. God protects His loving children as the apple of His eye. (Dan. 3:17)

2. God who fills our needs
1) If we move forward with faith, God fulfills every need. If we believe in and rely on God, the place of sorrow will change and become the place of joy. (Ps. 81:10)
2) Just as we cannot get water if we do not have a vessel when it rains, we must prepare a vessel in order to fill our life with God's grace. If we prepare vessels called hopes and dreams, God will fill things to the point where things are pressed down, shaken together and running over. (Phil. 2:13)

3. Ask God
1) It is not God's will for us to worry and be anxious. We need to put down worry and anxiety and go before God to ask for things with faith. (Matt. 7:7~8)
2) God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire. So God will not ignore His loving children. (Matt. 6:30~32)

Conclusion
Do not be discouraged or fall in despair when the darkness comes into life. Even when everything seems to be over, the door of prayer is opened wide. If we go before God who is always with us and fervently pray, He will solve our problems and lead us to the place of joy and peace.

I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.
