Pastor Cho's Sermon Outline - Yoido Full Gospel Church - Seoul, Korea
The Happy Life
3 John 1:2

2019-12-30

When God created human beings, He made them to have soul, spirit and body. As soul, spirit and body cannot be separated, when one of them is hurt, we cannot live a happy life. When we enjoy good health and that all goes well with us, even as our souls are getting along well, we can live a peaceful life.

1. The well-being of the soul
1) Human beings who were created as spiritual beings can be happy when they love and serve God.
2) Human beings were separated from God who is the fundamental of life because of sin. Human beings whose spirits died cannot come back to life with their own strength no matter how hard they try.
3) People who believe in Jesus and are born of the Spirit can live as the children of God.

2. The strength of the mind
1) The Bible says, "Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life." (Prov. 4:23) In order to live a happy life, we must guard our hearts well.
2) When people's hearts are caught by the devil, all kinds of wicked things occupy their hearts.
3) The best way to guard our hearts is to fill them with the word of God.

3. The strength of the body
1) Not only our hearts, but our bodies need to be healthy to live a happy life.
2) If we thoroughly repent before God, hold onto the promised word and fervently pray until our diseases are completely healed, the Holy Spirit works, and miracles take place.
3) No matter what kind of situations we face, look to the cross of Jesus and rely on it. If we move forward by making declarations with faith, having positive thoughts and dreams, the Holy Spirit will be with us and open paths for us.

Conclusion
People who do not believe in God live in the midst of fear and worries. But, people who believe in God can enjoy peace and happiness no matter what kind of circumstance they face. God brings satisfaction to those who long for Him and fills good things for hungry souls. If we hold onto the word of God and move forward with dreams and faith, we can live a life where we may enjoy good health and that all may go well with us, even as our souls are getting along well.
