  Set Sail with the Word

Dr. David Yonggi Cho, senior pastor of Yoido Full Gospel Church and CEO of the David Cho Evangelistic Mission, preached about blessing in the Washington D.C. crusade held in Washington Full Gospel Church April 3-4, 2001. He preached about the prodigal son in Luke 15 and the blessing of Psalm 23. Dr. Cho said, "God still waits for all people to repent of their sins. If sinners repent, God will restore them and give them the right to become children of God."
Dr. Cho urged people to set sail on the sea of life with the Word of God. He also emphasized that the will of God is performed when we obey Him and have an affirmative attitude toward life.
During Dr. Cho's visiting to Washington D.C., the General Assembly for the Full Gospel North American Council (FGNAC) of Full Gospel World Mission Association was held in Washington D.C. April 2-5, 2001. They invited Dr. Cho to speak, and he preached about the need for Full Gospel faith to take root in United States. During the General Assembly, Pastor Ja-young Lee of Chattanooga Full Gospel Church, Tennessee, USA, was elected as the new FGNAC president. They decided to help the homeless people in North America. Through this activity they expect missions work in the North America to be extended. Based on the FGNAC missions report from last year, they decided to support South American missionaries financially and to continue to develop the United Youth Camp that was held in New York last year.
On April 4, 2001, Dr. David Yonggi Cho visited Washington D.C. and had a pleasant talk with the new U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft. Mr. Ashcroft invited Dr. Cho to his office for prayer for the new U.S. President George W. Bush and the new government. U.S. Attorney General Ashcroft is a conservative politician in the USA, and he is famous for his uncompromising faith in his political life.
While in Washington D.C., Dr. Cho and other evangelical leaders met with King Abdullah II Bin Al-Hussein of Jordan.
