2001 National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) Conference

Pastor Cho, the CEO of the DCEM, who was invited by the National Association of Evangelicals (NAE) in Dallas, Texas, gave a speech on the prospects of the Holy Spirit movement in the 21st century and the blessing of prayer.

On the premise that only leaders with spiritual capabilities will be able to lead effectively, Pastor Cho urged them to pray everyday in order to obtain spiritual capabilities.

Pastor Cho also pointed out that spiritual leaders would neither be able to experience God's ability or sensitively respond to the spiritual needs of Christian members if they do not pray.

The church leaders who attended the NAE Conference responded with applause whenever Pastor Cho introduced his experiences regarding prayer and promised that they would pray hard everyday.

NAE, an association of the 51 evangelical religious bodies in the U.S., operates approximately 250 committees under its umbrella and consists of about 45,000 churches and 30 million members. NAE is particularly interested in the mundane culture representing the new revival movement, since the post-modern era is trying to change the trend towards belief in the Holy Spirit.

Before the NAE crusade, Pastor Cho attended a crusade prepared by the Full Gospel Association in the Dallas area, and delivered a message of his hopes and dreams to the Korean immigrant community. Pastor Cho talked about how he had dreamt and faced many difficulties during his 44 years of pastoral duties. Listening to his sermon, the attendees stood up, shouted with joy, and shared in his story by crying.

Meanwhile, some of the NAE Conference attendees from Ukraine pursued Pastor Cho all day, trying to take a photo with him.

Pastor Cho is scheduled to attend the North American General Meeting to be held in Washington D.C. in April.
