Dr. Prince Guneratnam, senior pastor of Calvary Church, the largest church in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia invited Dr. Cho, senior pastor of Yoido Full Gospel Church as a special speaker to celebrate their 30 years of pastoring at Calvary Church and to officially launch Calvary International Ministries (CIM).

On September 8, global church leaders and 10,000 saints attended PGRM (the venue for the international conference) to celebrate Dr. & Mrs. Guneratnam's 30th year at Calvary Church.

"The reason for the founding of CIM is for the evangelization of Malaysia and world missions," stated Dr. Guneratnam and asked his congregations to pray for his continuous activity. He said, "During my travel in several nations, I realized that thousands of people are dying without hearing the Good News." He explained about the background for the founding of CIM and his desire for the Gospel to be preached through CIM.

Dr. Cho congratulated the Guneratnams on their 30 years of pastoring Calvary Church and encouraged them, expecting CIM to take a great role in evangelization for world missions. Dr. Cho remarked, "Dr. Guneratnam is a person filled with the Holy Spirit and is a leader who has dreams and visions."

In Dr. Cho's message he stated, "I have been watching him and I am confident that he is a chosen servant of God, a pastor committed to prayer and he is rooted deeply in the Word of God."

Dr. Guneratnam stated that the reason for his continuous dreams and vision about church growth and having new visions for world missions is because of the influence from Dr. Cho. That's why he invited Dr. Cho to help them celebrate their 30 years of ministry at Calvary Church.

CIM (Calvary International Ministries) plans to preach the Gospel to all nations. CIM has plans to publish a general missions magazine and have a missions program to train missionary and church leaders. They will also have great prayer rallies and church growth conferences periodically.

Dr. Guneratnam who is now 56 years old was called by God to be His servant at the age of 12. He has been the senior pastor of Calvary Church in Kuala Lumpur since 1972. He also serves in key leadership positions both locally and worldwide - being vice-chairman of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship and chairman of both the Christian Federation of Malaysia and the National Evangelical Christian Fellowship (NECF) of Malaysia.
